1. It's Simiple, Get a Usb stick (Make sure it's FAT32) So the ps3 can read it.
2. Then On the Root of your Usb, Make sure You name a Folder Called "PS3".
3. Then Click the "PS3" Folder you have just made, then Inside that Make another Folder Called "UPDATE"
4. Should be something like this before you use the usb " /PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP"
5. From there you download Waninkoko's CFW then you put that file into the "UPDATE" Folder.
Flash it from Settings -> System Update (or the Recovery Menu if you need to),

Similar as Geohot's Cfw. However you install Geohot's CFW, Do the Exact same. And Make sure the folders of the PS3 is All Caps or It will not read the USB.

People have been bricked on Slim PS3 Due to reasons, Some Ps3 Slim may fail, and Some may Pass. Please make sure you know what you are doing if not, do not go further. Go and research before you go further.

ahh yes it is but usually sites that have downloads are needed to buy membership first but i still wouldnt trust, just go rent a game from a block buster or something or from a friend, back it up and return and play whenever you want, then buy a blu ray disk copy it onto it and now you have a copy of the game

as i said i made few of them work but many others says something about renewing license and cant be played,so i thought if i install this wanin cfw then they will work??anyways,in my country we dont have "blockbuster" lol i know its something about renting games,and friends? nope lol they dont have ps3

I tried to Install the Backup Manager and it said "Error Installing the File" when I went to "Install Package Files"

Oh at the back, there should be this could bar w/ letters/numbers, if its not there, then its probably ripped out or something. Or go Search on google what Number is 80GB Phat. but Im pretty sure you can do it, since 80GB is not backward compatible.

You are installing the "Rogero Manager v7.8" for Backup Manager? Cause that's the only back up manager works atm, and If your installing packages from 3.41 They wont work with this cfw.

You back up the game to the hard drive or what ever your using to back up the games, then you can just play straight off the hdd no need for the game.

Check the back of the PS3, There should be this paper, it should be near your power supply plug in, There's this code bar with letters and numbers and check what kind you have.

Well as you were saying, If you want to download games, you can't download free on psn store, you would have to buy either a psn card or use a credit card or what ever they accept for billing. if your looking for free ps3 games download, you can download them, but it could lead to banned from psn because its pirated games. The only way you can get free games is that, you either borrow games from a friend, family, etc then back it up, then give it back to them, and you will have the game foreva

I do not support that, but You would have to install the Back up manager, and put in a game then press buttons that says on the screen make sure you read carefully, because you might screw up something. Check youtube or this site they support that information here.

Depends on their ps3, cause the cfw does not support some NAND types. But most people have been saying the slim ps3's have been getting bricked a lot than the fats.
