Waninkoko CFW - WTF moment!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so I installed Waninkoko's CFW last night, it's been running fine, got Black Ops working etc, but then I just turned my PS3 on and it said

'System will now rebuild the database'

thankfully the PS3 just restarted and it appears to be fine

Anybody had this?

In the event you don't know how to get there...

1: Turn PS3 off
2: Hold PS3 power button until it turns on, and keep holding until it turns off
3: Turn on PS3 again and keep holding until it beeps twice rapidly.

It'll boot in recovery mode and you can install the OFW again.

i tried it says no applicable update data was found .

samething had happened to me. I deleted the ps3 folder on my usb and the OFW i had installed. I re-installed the OFW made a new folder Ps3>Update>OFW and tried it again, it worked. Try doing that.

if its doing it in recovery mate your only option is to downgrade sucks but thats the way it is.

Are you sure you have the file structure right? And the actual OFW?

If one letter is off, the ps3 wont find the file you need.

It has to be on the root of the flash drive.

So you open up your flash drive and make a new folder and call it PS3 then inside the PS3 folder make another new folder called UPDATE then inside that put the official firmware (PSUPDAT.PUP)

If that doesn't work send me a PM and I'll try to help you from there.

sometimes it happens when u dont turn your ps3 off right and it will also happen randomly sometimes Smile

nothing to worry about
