wow sorry dude theres alot of idiots on here

you can use a external hdd on it i just bought a 2tb for mine the other day works perfect just make sure its 2.0 and not 3.0/2.0
and use swissknife or fat32formatter to format it

its very simple and the 4gb limit is for single files this back ups are not single files they are 1 folder with alot of files
but it will work perfect

If you have it lying around, don't ask, test it!
And yes FAT32 does work.
I think you have to format it to FAT32, because it won't read it.
Atleast it wont read USB's that isnt FAT32.

What about those programs that split files over 4gb? Are they only for subsequently moving the files from the external to internal or can the games be played from the external even though the files are split up?

and it said could not play bc of the files being split so i dont know if that helps or not i dont even know what it means they where split
but i have gotten 23 games copyed on my 2tb external and thats the only game i had a problem with
