(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so I'm trying to back up GTA 4 with Multiman 1.13 and when I begin copying the game to my internal hard drive it gets to 4% and stops.. and the estimated time will slowly increase and it won't go any higher..

If I let it keep going it gets to 4% and it'll end up saying I have like 300+ minutes remaining..

Anyone know why this is happening? I'm using Geohotz 3.55 custom firmware if that matters.

Geohot's doesn't really allow for backups, use Kmeaw's, no bricking and backups.

Maybe its multiMAN? Try a different backup manager (like Open Manager) and see if it makes a difference.

Hmmm... I don't know what to tell you. I know some games don't back up and/or play correctly so maybe GTA4 is one of those games.

I had the same problem and did this:

I installed Open Manager (could be done with other managers)

Copied the file like you normally would (on open manager)

Once done, quit the game, and open MultiMan back up manager

Once in MultiMan press load game on the one you copied AND make sure you have a blu ray disc in your drive (any)

Press no and it will go back to the XMB

The disc you have put in for example: Black Ops, should now say the game that you have loaded up.

So if you loaded Battlefield Bad Company, the black ops disc will say Battlefield Bad company etc.

Load the game and if have done everything right it will work!

To change the disc back to black ops just turn your ps3 on and off!

i do every step properly.. but wen i get to the part that u say scroll down and the blu-ray disc should say the game that u backed up not the actual game thats on the disc, it still says the game thats on the disc... =[... the game that i backed up is below the bluray cd, and when i try to start up the game, the screen goes black then i get put back to the XMB... and help is greatly appreciated...

The reason it's not working for you is because Geohots CFW does not allow sys calls of lv 1 and 2 on the PS3(Peek and poke) which is required for back ups to work on the PS3. My advice is to update to kmeaw's CFW (Loads of tut's out there) and you will have no problem with playing back ups on your PS3. Hope this helps.

You are correct about geohots CFW not supporting lv1 and lv2, but you are not addressing the problem of Acevirus having any issue fully backing up GTA IV. It stalls at 4%, but your suggestions for kmeaw cfw is on the money. I love this CFW over others hands down.

Here are a few options I would suggest. Since multiman 01.14 was released not too long ago, I would give that a try since you were on 01.13 a few post back.
*Credit to Juddy* Another option would be download this custom firmware: You must login or register to view this content. it is a patched kmeaw's cfw with no LV2 patching required for backups. There will be a file called "/app/home/PS3_Game/" if successful. It's pretty much a plug and play, well atleast almost.

Or Send game over to PS3 via FTP location hdd0/games/

+Rep if you found this helpful in any way..:y:
