And this was really a last attempt and IT WORKED

I am so happy =D

Here's what i done ..

1. Went to dev/hdd0/NPAUXXXXXX (Was Warhawks folder) . Will probably work with any game folder .

2. Deleted Warhawk's USRDIR and replaced it with the USRDIR From my COD5 game .

2.5. Tried to run the game then but i got the corrupted data error yada yada /facepalm

3. Downloaded the latest WaW patch on my PC and installed it through the install package files on my XMB

4. Went on FTP/ Awesome File manager and copied the PARAM.SFO from the updated games folder (in my case dev/hdd0/game/BLES00354) to the place where i have my COD5 USRDIR (dev/hdd0/game/NPAUXXXXX) and it replaced Warhawk's PARAM.SFO .

5. Went back to the XMB and went to run Warhawk knowing it had the COD5 Files in it.

6. Literally closed my eyes cos i have been so frustrated trying to get this to work lol -.-

7. Heard that creep music in the COD5 Intro , I was so happy

8. Works like a charm , its easier than it looks but this was all coincedences i found this and i somebody else has i havn't seen it anywhere cos every single method i tried didn't work !!


PS : I didn't copy over the trophys folder yet and if you want to get them working you should copy them over .

I Think this should work with any game because none of the other methods worked with my COD5 and this DID .

Also if you want to go ahead and replace all the files like The images and names and stuff im sure it will still work

But then it got corrupted because i didn't copy over some files i was only testing -.-

Will work on it tomorrow so it works permanantely

i am going to try this asap. If this works, you just saved me from buying another ps3, because one of my 4 ps3s laser went out, therefore, no 4 player zombie lan

update: ok I used the psn tekken game i had already installed on my jb ps3 that can boot from xmb. in dev_hdd0/game/NPEA00019

i replaced the USRDIR from the tekken game with the original cod waw USRDIR with the modified eboot that lets u launch from xmb. then Replaced tekken sfo with the sfo from the update 1.07pkg for world at war, which made a folder located //dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30192.

than I booted tekken from xmb and waw started playing. I notice that it doesnt have the 1.07 update applied because there was no nazi zombies on the main menu. so i tested the campain anad it worked great, i tried multiplayer but it freezes at a black screen, i tried system link but it keeps saying "downloading game settigns" at the bottom but i can still get back to the main menu.

so far only the campaign runs for me, again the update 1.07 did not apply itself

EDIt: I screwed up and accidently put red dead redemption sfo inside the tekken folder when it would of been the waw updated sfo lol. then i tried replacing the sfo with the updated one and now tekken doesnt show up on xmb. anyways i am now redueing everything from scratch

EDIT: i redid everything and same thing, only campaign and no 1.07 update was actually applied. btw using the original eboot from waw does not work. it will give u an error, i used a waw xmb pkg for 3.41 that i extracted the eboot out of to use so it can launch from xmb.

also i was bored and tried putting saw the game inside the tekken usdir and sfo but the game doesnt launch.

OK about the game hanging on 'downloading game settings' at coop system link menu when creating a game, i just tried deleting the 1.07 update from my non modded 3.55 ps3 and went to create a lan coop game and it also hangs at downloaing game setting.. ahh wtf
