Supposedly Filezilla FTP and ethernet cables don't go very well. So it is probably the ethernet cable.

EDIT: You could also try using Core FTP LE instead of Filezilla. I know a few people that filezilla doesn't work for but Core FTP LE does.

i have been using core and it has given me better results, the only other option my friend is to use a external hdd, if you dont want to spend mega money get yourself a ide caddy and scout out charity shops/cash converters for a sky + hd box or a V+ box they sell them for about a tenner rip them apart take out the hdd format it on your pc/laptop and you got yourself a 250gig external for about £20 (some sky boxes have sata hdd's)

Use FlashFXP as your FTP server on your computer, Filezilla is shit.

i use filezilla and get 5 x the speed your getting.

it probably has to do with your interent connection try a program like smartftp or see if its any different on filezilla using wifi... im using filezilla and its uploading really fast

filezilla and internet cable works very well for me... like 15-20 mbps and the internet cable on the ps3 is the shit lol and i have very very very bad internet btw like 500 KB/s download xD
