The bug, which is now fixed, involved user upgraded hard drives showing up as corrupted. Sony silently pushed out the new 3.56 PUP, attempting to cover up the fact that they dropped the ball on the original 3.56 release. It appears to be a common trend with Sony, that quality assurance goes out the window, anytime a new firmware update is urgently pushed out for release by them.

It happened me, 3 days ago all my saves demo games.. got corrupted...

I posted this last night nice to see they finally came out with it considering the email I posted with mine says it was supposed to be out yesterday.

Not surprising. They have had the suggestion blog up for months and not one thing has been implemented, but they are quick to upload an untested firmware to stop security issues that didn't even take a day to bypass.

The new 3.56, I download it and its 179 MB, then i put it onto my flash drive and it goes to 180mb, why is that?
