Post: ps3 failed fw install [help]

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); every time i turn my ps3 on it waits a sec then starts installing a firmware update which doesnt work, and it gets to about 64% the says i need to contact sony. is there anyways to fix this without paying sony?

Make sure you had a working bluray or chek if it plug because i had the same problem and when i connect a bluray it work thank you !!

ive tried bricking my ps3 using the pull out cord method but i cant do the auto bricker because i cant even acsess the xmb

ahhh maybe this is the problem, my bluray doesnt work so i took it out

ok so ive now it boots up when i do the recovery mode, but it says the correct harddisk was not found. and ive never swaped the hdd...

try to take it out and put it back in
