No you don't need them both on the newest fw it works fine for me. 3.55 to 3.56.

It doesn't your right its kind of hard to explain though. Basically you can't transfer from the most recent update to a lower firmware update. Example: 3.56 to 3.55 won't work. On the other hand it will work doing it the other way round. 3.55 to 3.56 better?

Can someone figure out if 3.41 will transfer to 3.56.
I mean if 3.55 to 3.56 works, this should also, but I'm NOT updating my 3.41, cause I want to get the future codename rebug cfw 3.41

it has to be any version 3.xx-3.56 it cant be 3.56-lower

You can and always will be able to data transfer from your 3.41/3.55/ whatever your other ps3 is on to the latest version you just cant transfer from a higher version to a lower

so it is CONFIRMED that you can transfer from lower fw to higher fw
