I have not had any luck getting FTP to work for me (I hate messing with IT shit). But i have had quite a bit of luck using just a regular 8 gig flash stick to transfer from my comp to the PS3.

However, this is somewhat limiting because of the size constraint....being only 8 gigs....The selection of games small enough to fit on there is lacking. At some point i will get an external , but for the time being I cant work it into my budget.

If I use a file splitter program to break up say, a backup thats 12 gigs into 2 parts, could I then load them one at a time onto the flash drive for transfer to my PS3 internal HDD?
