Kmeaw has updated his popular AsbestOS Installer to v1.5, with some new cool features you can expect below.

-Boot from internal hard drive – Linux rootfs is located at the same partition (splat in 10 loopmounted files) as the GameOS
-Gamepad support – Can also work as mouse in x11
-Change video modes using the menu system


With the latest version, you need a different rootfs for the boot from internal HDD function. So, Kmeaw has a compiled a pack of the latest version of Ubuntu that you can mount and boot with his version of AsbestOS.

You need to put the 10 IMG files from the pack to the dev_hdd0 path folder. Your PS3 can then boot from internal hard drive.

Oh good lord. My recommendation is to pick up a linux for dummies book and read. Linux is a different operating system and if you don't know what you are doing, it means you shouldn't screw with it.


Do what you want though...
