any way i was messing around and found a glitch idk if its posted but i am on 3.56 and i would try to reinstall 3.55 cfw and i will keep pulling the usb stick out in the middle of upateing like five the i opend up the recovery menu and tryed it the but without pulling out..lol...and after a few trys i went back to normal mode and checked to see if there was an online update and it said that 3.56 update was avalable but i could still sign in idk if it helps or not...and you dont have to brick your ps3 for recovery mode just msg me and i will tell you how


oh and will some one post this in the right secton for me thx... and dont **** wit my red

Instead of changing to ofw 3.55 use cfw 3.55 (geohotz) and instead of putting a link, you can upload it directly from your computer.

ok so i did your method and was able to get another 3.56 update but was still online w/ 3.56 is there another step to this process or is this as far as everyone has gotten? i didnt even have to go in recovery either btw...

I think this method is only getting people to the 3.56v1 ofw. I wouldnt do that and stay at that v1. Just update to v2 because i highly doubt this is going to turn into a downgrading method. The reason im saying to update is because ofw3.56v1 was known to be unstable, people were having problems with it and complaining to sony about it, thats part of the reason why they released v2 of 3.56. If i were you i would jus wait for a confirmation that this is actually a downgrade method because there is no way you can instal cfw being on v1 of 3.56. Your just taking a chance at potential ps3 problems.

Yeah your welcome man. Just be patient and wait for a 3.56cfw or 3.57cfw, becuase Sony might try a 3.57 update soon or possible higher. When you eventually get cfw just dont update when theres new firmware because eventually a bypass comes out, usually with in a week or two. Thats why i never updated and now using bypass method. Just have confidence in NGU!!!!

Exactly what i should of done, i updated the day before the bypass came out, you don't understand how pissed off i was.

Yeah i bet man. I would have been really pissed off too. Well theres not much you can do now, just wait for the new cfw and remember when you do get it don't upgrade lol. Sorry about that, wish you could go back man. Just keep checking NGU for updates on information with everything thats is being tried right now.

I do too but you can do that later. If you can get geohotz to work, you can always install any other cfw at anytime.
