If you got perm banned from PS3..That means they used your mac adress... An Ethernet cable and wifi use different mac adresses. Im not banned but wouldn't be true if you were banned that if you were banned on wifi you can use ethernet and wifi use internet?

Just wondering. Please tell me if im wrong but I probably am since many people should have thought of this by now.

Dont tell me that im a noob and crap because if you knew me you would already know that I am. Happy

They don't ban MAC addresses. They ban the PS3's ID or Serial number. The only theory to bypass the ban is using the ID of another PS3, but in the end one PS3 remains banned, just like Jtagged Xboxes, you have to use the keyvault of another Xbox...

he thought they bann the mac address of your internet modem....he did not even know that a ps3 has a mac address.

you are right by using a lan connection you will be using a diffrent mac address iv posted that before, wireless card uses the mac address of your wi-fi card, the wired connection uses the mac address of the router/modem you might still have to change ur PSID but yes in theroy it should work!
