Seriously. I tell a few people on IRC and else where and this happens. I had this the moment I messed with charles. I also got some interesting information as well.

What ever is sent to sony, would require a DNS query to get their server IP. If you can listen in to every server, you can most likely see everything getting transmitted, INCLUDING and identifiable information such as mac address or hardware information.

You just got to decrypt the data connection to view/modify the requests...

FYI, sony uses XML result sets for just about everything. loading friend profiles AND title updates are in XML format...

Oh and IP banning is pointless as you can proxy/vpn or ssh and transmit through another server. Also don't forget that ISP's frequently give different IP's when you connect via DHCP...

Just some information. If you didn't understand, move along and forget about it...

Peace..

Keep in mind, I may not have told, but I still knew. BTW I did post something about psn unbanning with the same idea.

BTW I still would like credit for it, though I don't always like to tell, b/c its leads noobs to abusing everything...

Anything that we find good, everyone takes advantage of so much, it gets shut down instantly...

Here is an idea, what if someone could find away to scramble or hide our psid or mac or just all of it so that sony couldnt see it or ban it? just an idea, not real sure if it would be possible or not tho..

LOL. i just get annoyed that there are only a handful of people or "hackers" who have a clue as to whats going on. That and the fact that it seems everyone is taking credit for my technical theories...

Hell half of the people don't even really know what charles is!

Well for that, the mac address might work. Though we need to peek in on the server thats getting that information and change. Your PSN ID is your username from what I see, at least by the login server...

Because psn ids must be real, you can't fake that. As long as the mac address is valid, you can fake it. Though you would go through accounts and MAC's more than a celebrity goes through outfits...

Sounds like JTAG's and KV's all over again. Except you can use any console to do it without modification hardware-wise...

It is IMPOSSIBLE to change the MAC address on the PS3 due to the MAC being embedded into the hardware. Their is no software version for the MAC on the PS3 unlike a PC has. So MAC spoofing doesn't work.. Sony uses MAC address to ban. This doesn't work.

The PS3 isn't a computer, and doesn't have a "software" MAC address only a hardware/physical MAC address which is IMPOSSIBLE to spoof.

spoofing is not changing it in the ps3 its changing it as it is being sent to the server and a mac address on everything including a pc is hardware.
