Post: Will I get banned if I DON'T use my backups, but still have them on my HDD?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well I updated to 3.56 the day it came out and forgot to delete my backed up games. I just recently received that 'email' everyone's been getting, and I removed all my homebrew. (Multiman, File Manager, etc.) The problem is, my backups are still in my HDD. Will I get banned?

But I'm not running back ups.
It's just on my HDD sitting there.
I deleted Multiman & all other homebrew,
& I am not going to use the backups at all because I can't.

So, is it still the same as using them?

Hm.
The reason I don't want to reformat is because I'll lose everything.
& If I back it up onto my usb, the backed up games will get backed up too (?), so I'm pretty stuck.

Sing My Guitar
Just delete the backups by formatting the PS3.

What he is trying to say is why do you insist on keeping ur backup if they aren't playable anymore. You might as well just reformat your hard drive.

You guys aren't getting it. I know they aren't playable anymore, that's why I want to get rid of them, but if I format my PS3, I'll lose my data and stuff (which I don't want) :/ If I back them up on a usb, it'll copy the back up games too! Which is why I'm wondering if I'll get banned if the back ups are on my HDD and I don't use them. (If I don't reformat)
UNLESS theres a way to copy my save data, themes, etc. to a USB WITHOUT copying the back up games.
