BOUGHT A PSJAILBREAK2 (CLONE) AND E3 CARD READER
DOWNGRADED TO 3.41 MODIFIED WITH E3 CARD READER
THEN HACKED IT WITH PSJAIBLREAK2 CLONE BECUZ I COULD NOT DOWNGRADE ANY FURTHER TO OFW 3.15 TO UPDATE TO 3.41 OFW LIKE SITES SUGGESTED.
AND SINCE THE HACK WORKED ON THE MODIFIED 3.41 I HAD NO COMPALINTS.
PLAYED A COUPLE OF BACKUP GAMES FOR ABOUT A WEEK.
BUT NOW I WANT TO GO TO 3.55 OFW AND HACK IT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF F$%$ PSN BYPASS AND GET ONLINE.

I GO INTO FACTORY/SERVICE MODE WITH E3 CARD READER AND USE OFW 3.15 BUT THE LIGHT KEEPS BLINKING GREEN FOR HOURS.

THAT IS MY PROBLEM, I CANT DOWNGRADE TO OFFICIAL SONY FIRMWARE FROM THE MODIFIED 3.41 SO THAT I CAN GET BACK UP TO OFW 3.55 AND HACK IT.

GOING INTO SECRET MENU AND TRYING EACH OF THE OPTIONS AVAILABLE:

RESTORING TO DEFAULTS
RESTORING FILE SYSTEM AND THE LIST GOES ON.
ANY IDEAS?

IM HOPING THE ADMINISTRATORS THAT KNOW THEIR SHIT CAN PUT THOSE BIG BRAINS TOGETHER AND REALLY THINK "WTF CAN BE GOING ON ON THIS DUDES PS3?"

Try sending it in or switching out the HDD.

switched hard drives already, didnt work. still asks for 3.56ofw and i it will only accept the modified 3.41. its funny, the only update that has worked or installed fully and correctly is the 3.41 official, but only if im updating from the modified 3.41. weird right?

oh and about sending it in, yea that was my last resort, But, HAS ANYONE EVER SENT IN THEIR PS3 TO SONY FOR PROBLEMS? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SHIP? ANYONE KNOW? AND ARE THEY EASY TO DEAL WITH?

I dont know anything about that e3 and dongles and shit but did you try to update to 3.55 with usb in recovery mode? I assume you tried but im just wondering if you did... And please, stop raping your shift/capslock key :p. 2 Months you still got waranty but you jailbroke it, which means you voided your waranty thus sony wont fix it.

I think sony takes care of the shipping and repairs cost nothing with the warranty in tact. Just make sure you put all original back in (HDD, cables and controller.)

but jailbreaking doesnt void your warranty, when you buy th psjailbreak2 it says it on the product info, and yes i have tried 3.55 original firmware, ive tried it all, i was wondering if the head hanchos knew of a way that i havent heard of. anywho. i could still put 3.41 original for some weird reason over 3.41 modified, so sony will never know.

also , i think i just got lucky, and it messed up like that. so im thinking i gotta get lucky again and it will get fixed and update. maybe i gotta play it for a while, make the ps3 work normally, and then try a software update later. but yea. i think i mma send it in. but first im gonna take out the hard drive, install windows on it, then take it out and put it in the ps3, and let the ps3 format it, so that way i know for sure EVERYTHING is wiped clean, and then maybe i can put the firmware i want. thanks for responding to my thread, my last 3 threads didnt get SHIT of action.lol oh and sorry about the rape.

nah, i dont think so, i think it voids the warranty only if youve accepted the new terms of the 3.56 update, if you do shit to it after 3.56, then yea. but psjailbreak wouldnt be sellin their product and putting on their sites that it doesnt void warranty, and also, ps3-hax and other sites, wouldnt ALSO post up on thier sites that the dongles dont void warranty, so yea, i dont think so. thanks for responding to my thread though.

it voids the warrenty if u do anything to tamper with the hardware, you think psjailbreak are assd about voiding peoples warrnys, no they just wana make money, its the same with iphones, apple wont take them back if they no u jailbroke them, your running a code thats not ment to be there, ur warrenty is void m8, and they will be able to tell

i dont thinnk reputable websites like ps3-hax and others would also say that it doesnt void your warranty if it did. and plus the only official firmware IT WILL take is the official 3.41, so im hoping to send it in with the official 3.41 and tell them to fix it cuz i cant update, and also of course wipe the hard drive, etc etc. and hopefully they wont be able to tell.

I didn't see you mention that you tryed to downgrade by going into factory/service mode... You have to Boot into factory/service mode, turn off your console Put the 3.15 update onto NORMAL USB, start it it... Let it install, voila 3.15, then use LV2diag to kick it out of factory/service mode then you can do what ever the **** you want! If that's what you where asking! :black:
