im pretty sure the dns trick can not be patched without an update, and that is what the trick is for.
The only way sony could stop it - same way they stopped the old dn trick - is to block the dns server but they cant block 192.168s because it would stop normal going online
If you don't know a thing about it, don't start to write BS!
You can't block a DNS server. A DNS server only tells your netwerk device what ip adress is linked to a domain name. The server you connect to doens't even know what you used as a DNS.
Also blocking ip adresses of the private range (like 192.168.0.0/16 and 10.0.0.0/

is useless as you never ever go out to the internet with these. You can only go to the internet via a public (=reserved/bought) ip.
You are always visible via the ip adress your modem got from your isp. (unless you use a public proxy)
The "new" block works on looking at the headers.
In order to completely trick sony we need to alter EVERY connection from the ps3 to any server, as in all the connections there is a header that says 3.55 or 3.5.5-000
To achieve this, you need to change at least 5 certificates on the ps3, or you can't decrypt the data.
