I mean i got pokemon on it but, some requires a trade so its impossible to get them also the starter pokemon ..

Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure some emulators on ps3 support cheats but i haven't used them before. You could try (if possible) to transfer the rom+ your save on the pc and use a compatible emulator to use the cheats on, save the effects(inf items codes like those that have a permanent effect after you save), and transfer back. I'm not sure if you could do that but it's worth a try. It may be a pain in the ass process but it's the only way if you can't get your cheats to work on ps3.

I'm pretty sure you won't have to use that method. If I knew more about emulators on the ps3 and where the cheats go then i would just tell you lol.

Just play emulators on your pc... lol You can connect your PS3 controller to your PC and play a ton more emu's with a ton more features XD

there is a program called GBAATM that will patch the rom with cheats, look it up.

I don't think you can put cheats on the VBA for the PS3. If you just want cheats for pokemon just download Visual Boy for the PC (Its a PC emulator). I'm not sure if the VBA has a file called .sav, but take the .sav from you PS3 to your usb and transfer it to your PC. Now load the ROM and Save file on the Visual boy, now just look up on the net for Action Replay cheats or codebreaker cheats for the pokemon game. Once you got everything you want ex. 99 masterballs. Transfer the gamesave back to the ps3 and when you load up your pokemon gamesave you should have the 99 masterballs. Hope I helped. Sorry if what I posted is useless since this is the way I use on my PSP, but I'm assuming its the samething with the PS3 as long as you have a .sav Savefile.

Nice i checked the folders in multiman and found in

dev_hdd0/game/VBAM90000/USRDIR

a file called fire red .sav

going to try to get it to pc and open it with the vb on pc

Yeah pretty much sums up what i suggested. I think the multi emulator for ps3 supports cheats.
