(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I actually prefer this method of downloading those pesky game update with a jailbroken PS3. Ok so basically all you need for this is your Blackbox FTP and your FTP client (Filezilla, SmartFTP).

Instructions:

1. On your PS3, Open your Blackbox FTP server.
2. On your PC go to You must login or register to view this content.
3. Type in the Game ID (BLES,BLUS etc..) of the game you wish to update. Then click find update, select allow on the prompt.
4. Once you find the update you wish to download, click DL.
5. You'll then be taken to another page asking for your PS3 local IP Address, FTP uName etc.
6. Enter the IP address your PS3 uses ( Same IP address you enter on filezilla,SmartFTP). For FTP Username, leave it as anonymous. You can leave the other boxes blank if you wish to. All you really want input is your IP address.
7. Click download!
8. Once finished downloading, simply restart your PS3. On your next startup you should find the patch file on your XMB. Hit install and enjoy!

Both. Yes i know people can bypass it, but this method would actually save about 15 minutes. I tried it on both PS3's and this method was faster than bypassing and doing everything else.

hey but you can still go to Modern Warfare 2 and it will ask you for an update...or for any game you dont have to be updated to the newest OFW to download a patch you just need internet

Exactly. Yes you can. but this method is easier (for me), and much faster if you can navigate through your computer easily.

this topic has not point.... you can update your games without using psn.

Only by using an internet connection.

If you find a simpler and faster way to do this, then i must say this thread has no point.
