Well-known hacker Mathieu Hervais has reportedly found a bug that allows exploiting metldr, the bootloader and firmware version 3.56. Unfortunately, he refuses to release it.
Interestingly, it was recently rumored that Sony was soon going to be releasing new "unhackable" PS3 models to the market.

plz Mathies if your reading this comment plz release the exploit because people like me have bought the ps3 updated to 3.56 the guy at the store updateds it plz we need the exploit for 3.56 CFW release it in the wild!

This is a good thing, If he keeps it to himself then Sony won't be able to fix it, Im sure with the help of other Devs that something can be accomplished from it without the threat of someone leaking the exploit publicly. The reason everything else has been fixed is because the exploit went very public.

Yeah i agree with you on that but devs these days (some not all of them) are to ****in scared and being a HUGE pussy for no reason and they see why sony "ALways" finds a way to increase the ways how we use our hacks! devs always got a story to tell but to much of a bitch to proof it and release it.

Ich wäre nicht überrascht, wenn er die Wahrheit sagte im sicher geoshot ist zu finden, aber wer will ehrlich verklagt euch müssen tiefen Taschen zu handeln, wie sie kümmern verklagt dont und im wie das Sprichwort geht sicher nehmen Sie eine um 20 weitere werden in den Fall kommen Hacking ist sehr wahr jemand anderes wird es finden, wenn das wahr
i wouldn't be suprised if he was telling the truth im sure geoshot has found it to but who wants sued honestly you guys must have deep pockets to act like they dont care about being sued and im sure as the saying goes take one down 20 more will come in hacking the case is very true someone else will find it if this is true
