well we have all of are hacks and the rebug thing is really cool. well i am going to stray away from the rebug topic. right now i have a friend who is going to update to 3.60 and is tired of never being online. and he asked me this question. "is it possible to integrate an FTP server into my ps3 that is
always broadcasting its name and you can always connect to it on 3.55 then you update to 3.60, and it is still broadcasting its name and you can always connect to it" my first response was yes, but it would be difficult. but then i had to focus on the part were he said on OFW. and i said i have no idea because i don't create nor do i have any knowledge about the firmwares. so i bring this idea to all of you. Is it possible to integrate a way for the ps3 to broadcast its name so that you can connect to it when ever you want and see all of its files even when you decide to update to 3.60 and still have it broadcasting? if this is possible then we should pursue this idea and create a working FTP that is always on.

I won't work, because the ps3 needs to have software running that allows a pc to connect. There's a lot more in the FTP that simply can't be integrated to an ofw. If it could be integrated, or even put on the ps3, it would have to be signed for the hypervisor to allow it.

Lol I'm glad your joking, but some people don't know why that's not possible, lol. The reason why, is because even the iPod is running extra software to be ran lol.:p

Lol no. I'm telling you that it's impossible For the end user ( 90% of ngu ) and the rest don't want FTP lol. What's the point any ways? It's not like you could add homebrew, or hack any thing. All you could do is mod games, (if it was signed). After all the loop holes, there will be no ofw FTP lol:p
