MY GF SMASHED MY PS3 UP AND REALLY ****ED IT

the thing is tho it still works

bluray is broken makes funny noises upon starting ps3 and doesnt accept any disks

but none of my apps will run deleted them all and reinstalled them but no joy

any help

Did your bluray drive just stop reading games ? didnt think it would affect your apps thought it only prevents you from installing firmware as it loops the ps3 because it has to check the hardware,you might need to buy new drive there was a tut on here about remarrying bluray drives to other ps3's hope this helps any more ? qoute me.

If it is your blu-ray drive not reading discs anymore, then you will more than likely need to replace the laser. There are hundreds of tutorials on youtube on how to do it. I've even done it a few times myself.

Since you are using CFW, Sony will not repair it as you violated the user agreement. So just a warning.

my gf smashed my ps3 up and its ****ed up my bluray drive

it still turns on and connects to the internet

but none of my homebrew apps start

as im on rebug 3.55

i have 3.60 as my system software so i cant reinstall any firmware

tbh i think that the rebug might have ****ed it up (doesn't know much about bluray)

Solution: find another Gf

The call for BD can affect homebrews from launching. Quik fix for homebrew, unplug the cables/power to the drive. Should be fine, worked for me.
