Post: Broken bluraydrive help me

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); my bluray drive is fuked and none of my homebrew apps will load please help me im on 3.55 rebug

MY GF SMASHED MY PS3 UP AND REALLY ****ED IT

the thing is tho it still works

bluray is broken makes funny noises upon starting ps3 and doesnt accept any disks

but none of my apps will run deleted them all and reinstalled them but no joy

any help

The call for BD can affect homebrews from launching. Quik fix for homebrew, unplug the cables/power to the drive. Should be fine, worked for me.


so if i disconnect my drive alltogether my apps should load

Well if your blu-ray is not working (smashed by gf), then replace it.

I agree with one of the other posters on this thread, it is probably your cfw that has lead to this. I don't have cfw myself, but any type of jailbreaks lead to system instabilities. iPhones have had countless failures due to jailbreaks. Now it is the ps3's that are suffering from them.

Try to put your ps3 into recovery mode with 3.55 ofw on a usb to reinstall. Maybe that will help?

my ps3 worked fine b4 its just we had a fallout and she proper smashed it up but it still works but the drive makes a funny noise when starting my ps3

i dnt think it has anything to do with cfw

No, do what i said as i have done it myself and it works. Guarantee. The system calling for BD ,(when drive is malfunctioning/broken) can affect launching homebrew.

First I'd say get a new gf first, and a new BD drive, check ebay?

do i take the drive out completly as it connected with a ribbon aswell

Lol try it worked for me. I have 3 ps3s, one with a malfunctioning bluray drive. Whenever i had the ide cables and power cables connected i would have intermittent problems launching homebrew and detecting installable .pkg
