ive removed the bluray drive completly but still no joy

need help fixing this

I'VE GOT JUNGLE FEVER
You cannot use any homebrew without the blueray drive, you at least need to have the board that goes on the drive be connected. This is because the PS3 relies on the blueray drive in order to use the boot drivers..

i got told last night a quick fix for homebrew not loading was to remove the drive completly because its broken and he said i can garantee that it will work

No thats incorrect, I personally know myself. The same has happened to me before. Reconnect the board if possible. It will work then if it is not damaged completely.

i will put it back in but it wouldnt load any homebrew before i took it out

me and my gf had a fall out she smashed it up and threw it at wall and also stamped on it 3 times when it was on the floor bluray makes a funny noise on startup

but it still works

personally i think my hard drive is knackered

Its not a hard drive problem, because your PS3 would simply not even boot to the xmb.

well nothing is loading homebrew wise and everytime i go to rebuild database or file system in recovery it tells me my hard drive is currupted
