Post: Rebug Content Working On OFW 3.60 After Update
04-11-2011, 10:06 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); UPDATE: Anyone whod like to try this out for themselves as proof without updating like i did to 3.60, simply get all your games done on rebug and once your finished reinstall Official Sony Firmware 3.55 and test.

I have 4 PS3s and last night i just couldnt stand not playing BOPS anymore (my online PS3 is currently banned) so before i updated i stocked up on map packs and full PKGs on rebug, got them signed/ authorised/ activated.
Then i reinstalled 3.55 OFW then updated via internet to 3.60 -

Now, all games and map packs are working just fine. I havent deleted the rebug quick sign up account i used to purchase/ authorise games.
I suggest if youve got more then 1 PS3 and your GOING to update (im not saying you should) then by all means stock up before you do. If i get banned for whatever reason ill certainly let yous know but i seriously doubt it, so far so good for me.

Can you still use multiman after updating? Or do only .pkg games work like wipeout for example...

I assumed this doesn't work, probably because it doesn't work with Braid, the only game I bothered testing. Are you saying all games work, or just a few? Braid was a full pkg, didn't need activation..
(data transferring)

Rebug settings isnt there because i reinstalled 3.55 official firmware after id finished authorising all the games on rebug. I then updated to 3.60 and nope homebrew doesnt work obviously. Like i said this is for people who are looking to update so when you do prepare to lose all your jailbreak stuff. The up side is i got a bunch of games out of it that work on 3.60 thats the difference.

Data transferring doesnt work for any games cept one that i know of (Flow) is the only game you can data transfer successfully provided that once youve transferred you delete the saved game data before you play a game. This is for people who are looking to update as it wont break the copyright like data transferring. Once these games are authorised or signed so to speak, updating on official firmware carrys them over untouched.

Nope backed up games dont work once you update, they have to be PKGs. If you update while you have games stored on Multiman then youve just wasted alot of room on your PS3.

Yeah thought so. I just saw 'Rebug content...' and thought that there was a chance the settings would somehow still be flashed to OFW. Thanks.

This gives me an idea so if I use rebug and get all dlc I want then go back to 3.55ofw then data transfer everything to my 3.60 ps3 then go back to rebug on my 3.55 ps3 everything should still work on my 3.60 ps3? Im going to test that later.

Nope data transferring doesnt work. You only keep it if you update. If you read what it tells you when you data transfer it wont allow copyrighted material to pass through like games and trophys.

be happy .. ^^
yes they all must work like legit contents you paid from your hard money(LOL)

I don't really recommend to update to 3.60+ until dev servers get closed by Sony
the PSN store still have a plenty of contents coming.
