Haxor!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Was playing Free For All on Black Ops and my PS3 decided to bleep and switch off. Its not the RLOD as i have had it many times before. Turned it on, seems like its booting up but freezes at the swirly lines.

I tried to brick it the other day as its really old and i have another new one on 3.60. Pulled the power on many a format and never seemed to work until today. If i put it in service mode would i be able to downgrade it to another firmware, 3.41 maybe then up to 3.55.

Any help appreciated!

Yeah if you can link me. I was just about to put it in service mode lol

hope it works out for you dude. let me know if this works for you by the way if you could because i have many friends who would love to have proof of this method working.
hope it works for you. and by the way.... in case you havent downgraded yet... make sure to go to a fwlike 3.41 because if you go to 3.55 you will be stuck in factory/service mode forever. so make sure the ps3updat.pup file is 3.41 or below or your still screwed. hope im not too late sry forget to tell you that part.
because what this does ( i think i havent done it yet myself) is that after you inset the .diag's and they end up puting you down to the chosen fw... it puts u in service mode automatically ( i think not 100% sure) and you have to (easy to do ) get out of the 3.41 ( or whatever you chose) through the service mode to complete the downgrade and be back to a normal ps3.
just some more info (i have looked this brick/dg up for a while now lol)
