Can you tell me step by step what happens, maybe we can figure it out.

Step 1. You hit Quick Sign Up

Step 2 + you can fill in for me. Include error codes and the exact process if possible so I know what stage the error occurs.

PS> Apparently Im now a Burrito...

Sounds like a latency issue.

In your PS3's network settings try changing DNS 1 to 4.2.2.3 and DNS 2 to 208.67.222.222

4.2.2.3 is a Verizon DNS server, 208.67.222.222 is OpenDNS. let me know results. Sounds like you have a closed NAT type.

It's a routing problem. You need to connect to the server native.sp-int.ac.playstation.net to sign up.

Type tracert native.sp-int.ac.playstation.net in cmd and you will see it will output an error. I had this problem too but I could fix it using a vpn.

Yea, I forgot about that. Could be that too. I just figured his internet was being jerish since Comcast is nice enough to have crappy DNS servers too.

He's right though, it's probably a bad gateway en route from your location (ISP Datacenter).

Do this:

1. Establish a VPN connection, so you can ping native.sp-int.ac.playstation.net
2. Resolve native.sp-int.ac.playstation.net to your computer's ip
3. Reverse proxy on port 443 to native.sp-int.ac.playstation.net on your computer
4. On PS3, set your dns server as primary dns and your computer as proxy
5. Sign up

I think it's not a problem of your ISP, more a problem of SONY

Well I did
5. Sign up

I think it's not a problem of your ISP, more a problem of SON

For step 1, download a free vpn and test if you can ping the server. (I use CyberGhostVPN)
For step 2, use a different computer in your network or a virtual machine as dns server, just like the method with charles
For step 3, use charles
