(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey NGU
I recently got a new (2nd Hand but newish ) PS3 Slim after my FAT 80gb went YLOD for the 8th time and after repair doesn't work :n00b:

Anyway.. The Slim is on 3.60 and I hear that there's a way of downgrading to 3.55 by Re-Flashing the NOR? :tits:

Can anybody explain this? :confused:

And If so does anybody know where I'd find a tut for this? :confused:

I have used the search button to no avail so this is why I'm posting a question

Thanks Guys. Moo :bro:

Most ps3s sold now are at least 3.41 (i have bought 5 new ones in the past 2 months then resold them when i put cfw on, they actually went for more)

No all PS3's are on 3.55 right now in stores, I just bought a NiB with the latest SKU PS3 last week as did a friend of mine two days ago and both were 3.55 models. Sony is going to keep using what they have now as they know the hardware is junk once the boot loader is over taken finally, good thing this is Apple we are dealing with on the lv0 security not Sony or we would have been through it. Sony knows there isn't shite they can do about the bootloader on existing models even if they are on 3.60 or WTF ever when the current bootloader is finally PWN'd on current hardware.

This is why they are making a "unahackable" model as it wll not be unhackable but current methods would no longer work as they are changing how the bootloader works. Kinda like how Nintendo did with boot2 on the Wii. Till then one would need to wait yes for now to downgrade from 3.56 but it is not impossible but no one knows when the bootloader will get taken down, as I said we are now dealing with Apple's security not Sony's idiot programmers. So go to the store while you still can before Sony rolls out a new SKU as that is when the firmware will change, till then and as of now you are safew to get a NiB system, besides otherwise it would have been plastered on every PS3 site like when 3.50 & 3.56 models rolled out making it impossible to hack at the time.

no almost all are on 3.50 or 3.55 atleast the move bundles from walmart

i got 9 move bundles from walmart not all at once but one then kept the controller and took it back and got another lol 9 times

and never once seen a 3.56 or 3.60 now this was the move bundle in the past 3 weeks ive done this now about a month ago i got the killzone 3 bundle it was 3.50 so still low most new ps3s will come with 3.50 or higher

who ever says a new one comes with lower then 3.50 needs to look up the model number and see what the first ones was shipped with

get it fast before all are shipped with 3.60 or wait for a downgrade
