send in your ps3 they'll send you a new one. I got it too bout 2 months ago. Nothing you can do about it, you can try the fix but then you can't send it in for repairs. And then you gotto spend 400 for a new one instead of 150 for the fix.

Does opening it and closing it count as "trying to fix" and is there any store like walmart gamestop something like that that will fix it for cheaper
ALSO NOTE: I bought mine used from gamestop

The warrenty on its probalbly already gone then. And theose ****s at Sony charge us 4 repairs for somthing that we didnt do. When it happened to me i bought a new 1. Although when my friends one broke, they delivered a new 1 within 2 days

Frikken sucks because summer just frikken started ugh plus so many people waiting for my answer to psn's. I have a question does Sony give the game that was in your console back? Why buy a new one you most likely get a new one from them anyway?

If you already remove the warranty sticker, then just open the ps3 up and remove your disk.

Check out fraz's thread there should be a post on how to fix the ylod. There are like 5 videos it takes some work but it might help Happy

Damn that sucks I got YLOD also and people in my family won't let me open up my PS3 and fix it so I will have to send it in.
