Gitbrew just announced a tool that will allow you to QA Flag your PS3 in the most simplest way possible. What is QA Flag you ask? QA Flag is the internal console flag used by Sony, it basically enables you to view/use hidden option which are only accessible to QA centers and the R&

OtherOS++ 3.41 CFW PUP
(this fw can be created in PS3mfw with patches from the git repos)

|Instruction|
1) Download the Otheros++ .pup from above
2) Install that on your PS3
3)Once Otheros++ is installed, Run qa_flag.pkg if you hear a beep, it worked.
*If not, dump your debug messages via udp_printf on linux and send toYou must login or register to view this content. to fix.
4)Reboot the ps3
5)Go to network settings (Do not enter it) and hit or hold
L1+L2+L3+R1+R2+down on the dpad
6)QA auto flagging is now done
7)Turn on the 'system update debug' in the debug settings
8 )Do a system update back to your CFW i.e. Kmeaw, GeoHot, Waninkoko, etc

just install other os pup do the qa flag then got back to kmeaw or what ever fw you were using bud

well it let you use dlc you not brought and let you downgrade to by just putting on any firmware on a usb i am to believe it really good thing to be able to do on the ps3

From what I understand, the "advanced" QA FLAG is supposed to allow us to play the newer games that require the 3.6x keys. As for this QA FLAG, both me and DAEMONFOX have tested the newer games (Infamous 2, Portal 2, Dungeon Siege III) and had no luck getting them to run. I believe this does let you downgrade, but considering we don't have the button combo for newer firmwares, I don't see the advantage of that. So just sit tight and just keep up to date with this. I'm sure something will come up soon

right does this if i am not wrong give you chance to downgrade because if i am wrong because i thought it does there something gone wrong with my ps3 am trying to downgrade to 3.41 just to see if i can do it but am getting this error code (80029c9c) funny tho because i have no idea what this code means

well i have tryied downgrade from 3.55 to 3.41 and fail..five error at 60%...
