Gitbrew just announced a tool that will allow you to QA Flag your PS3 in the most simplest way possible. What is QA Flag you ask? QA Flag is the internal console flag used by Sony, it basically enables you to view/use hidden option which are only accessible to QA centers and the R&

OtherOS++ 3.41 CFW PUP
(this fw can be created in PS3mfw with patches from the git repos)

|Instruction|
1) Download the Otheros++ .pup from above
2) Install that on your PS3
3)Once Otheros++ is installed, Run qa_flag.pkg if you hear a beep, it worked.
*If not, dump your debug messages via udp_printf on linux and send toYou must login or register to view this content. to fix.
4)Reboot the ps3
5)Go to network settings (Do not enter it) and hit or hold
L1+L2+L3+R1+R2+down on the dpad
6)QA auto flagging is now done
7)Turn on the 'system update debug' in the debug settings
8 )Do a system update back to your CFW i.e. Kmeaw, GeoHot, Waninkoko, etc

I am unsure about the exact details, but as far as I know it's just the button combo that changes. Even though the qa flagging will always be there, the button combo to activate it changes.

i don´t think that it´s so easy, i mean just find the combo and that´s all? It sounds really stupid... Gitbrew should tell us how to activate QA FLAG advanced mode so we wont need the 3.6X combo

But unfortunately what should be done and what will be done are two different things =/. One can hope though lol

A few new updates from gitbrew... They know how to enable piracy but WILL NOT be doing so. And they are also going to let us know what the qa_flag extra pkg does. Hold tight for more info. You must login or register to view this content.
