Yes. It has to do this unfortunately so, you should get a external hard drive I got a 250 GB external and I just back it up when I wanna host and transfer It is a hassle but, it is worth it.

the older ps3 i just bought doesnt have my user names..i found i have to re-enter all 3 of them every time i transfer, seeing as how i cant add them on the 3.55 fw. psn wont let me without updating. There a bypass or spoofer that would work in this situation?

But, anyways you should be transferring from a 3.55 CFW to a 3.65 OFW I don't see what your problem is care to elaborate?

K, so my 3.55 PS3 has no user data. After I add my patch to 3.55, i transfer to 3.65 which formats before transfer. This deletes my user data on 3.65. There's no way to save my user accounts so i dont have to re-create them every time. When i tried to back up first, it saved the user names, but not the log in accounts. So, every time I have to re-create my email/password accounts.

I'm not sure I totally understand but if it is how I read it, you just hit New User then go to where you sign in and glitch sign in using existing ID.
