Post: Remote play with non VAIO laptop! the easy way without CMD.EXE or HxD!!! TUTORIAL.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); 1. Download the VAIO Remote Play Software You must login or register to view this content. , install, then reboot
2. Download WinZip You must login or register to view this content. install
3. Download the VRPPATCH.ZIP You must login or register to view this content.
4. Download d3dx9_42.dll file - You must login or register to view this content.
5.Open both the VRPPATCH.ZIP and the d3dx9_42.zip and move d3dx9_42.dll file into the VRPPATCH.ZIP folder
6. Open you the Remote play Directory by Start Menu, Computer, Program Files, Sony, Remote Play with Playstation 3
7. Move all the Files from the VRPPATCH.ZIP including the d3dx9_42.dll into the Remote Play directory.
8. Reboot your computer and Run the Remote Play with Playstation 3

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!

Maggbot timeout!
It isn't working for me. I'm using windows 7. When I click remote play with playstation 3 on my computer I get this error.
"Remote Play With Playstation 3 could not be launched because an unexpected error occured. (0x8004005)

Any help?

people on a 64 bit laptop.. do you have a program files (x86)? try accessing the Remote play directory in that way and copy the files over that way

It installs into the x86 automatically.

yeh but my has a mind of its own and depending on the type of file (may sound weird)
so try doing it through just Program files not the (x86)

nope you can watch movies streaming from the web check you messages, etc. (i sit in my front room and talk to peeps on PSN..) but you cannot play games...
