First of all. I made this thread mainly because i've seen alot of people requesting download links for their desired CFW in different sections of this forum, because the original link went down. So I thought... Instead of making alot of unnecessary threads, let's just collect them all into one single thread.
I will keep the download links up to date, and take requests if needed. Any help would be appreciated, and It would be to great help if anyone could name up some CFW’s to add up. This is because I’ve lost count of them due to being out of the scene for some time. Also some of this may already be posted, but as far as i've seen the links have either been outdated or spread around in different threads.

How do I install a custom firmware?
2. In the root of your USB stick, make a folder called "PS3".
3. Go inside the "PS3" folder and make another folder called "UPDATE"
4. Inside the "UPDATE" folder, place your custom firmware.
5. Rename the custom firmware to PS3UPDAT.PUP
6. Connect it to your PS3 and go to system update!

To anyone who hasn't taken the time to read the entire thread.. gtfo.. No, but really, You cannot Jailbreak any ps3 system past 3.55 firmware. This means there is no 3.7x or 4.xx jailbreaks.Stop asking. From what I have gathered, there is no best CFW it is basically what you feel you like more. If you are on 4.7x or 4.xx you can downgrade but you have to do some work. Search "Downgrade" asking how here is not the place. Also, CoD questions don't belong anywhere near here. Leave that for the cod sections.

Spoofed means it's "faked" to a newer firmware. Like from 3.55 to 3.72. And unspoofed... Yes, basically just 3.55.
The reason people uses spoofed firmwares is because of game updates. Some games require 3.72 firmware or later.

What are you talking about? geohots cfw patch isn't even inside a .rar archive.
