First of all. I made this thread mainly because i've seen alot of people requesting download links for their desired CFW in different sections of this forum, because the original link went down. So I thought... Instead of making alot of unnecessary threads, let's just collect them all into one single thread.
I will keep the download links up to date, and take requests if needed. Any help would be appreciated, and It would be to great help if anyone could name up some CFW’s to add up. This is because I’ve lost count of them due to being out of the scene for some time. Also some of this may already be posted, but as far as i've seen the links have either been outdated or spread around in different threads.

How do I install a custom firmware?
2. In the root of your USB stick, make a folder called "PS3".
3. Go inside the "PS3" folder and make another folder called "UPDATE"
4. Inside the "UPDATE" folder, place your custom firmware.
5. Rename the custom firmware to PS3UPDAT.PUP
6. Connect it to your PS3 and go to system update!

it's my first time jailbreaking a ps3 and unfortunately at the time i was on FW 4.00, so the only option available to me was downgrading ,which included soldering and thats not my thing
i realise now that there is no current jailbreak for FW 4.00, and have no choice but to wait for Kakaroto's 4.0 jailbreak release!

best thing to do is just buy another ps3 on 3.55 thats what i did

I currently own two ps3s - a 'Fat' and a 'slim' which unfortunately are both on FW 4.00. I have recently bought the slim this month, so buying a third ps3 is out of the question. If a new jailbreak came out for 4.0, i would then jailbteak my FAT ps3, as it is older and if something goes wrong, i still have my slim with OFW installed onto it.

y not sell ur fat one with the money u make buy 1 on 3.55
