CFW v1.00 4.21 Rogero is out ! [Tested/Working/Confirmed]

v1.00 Info
- This is a 4.21CFW spoofed to version 4.25 to allow SEN access
- It can be used as a normal System Update from any 3.55 OFW/CFW/MFW
- It was tested using a hardware flasher and no bricks or any problems at all were encountered
- It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.21 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed
- Games must be loaded from Disc Icon (with Original game in BD) and not from app_home
- Current 3.55 homebrew application can't be loaded on this CFW, applications must be re-signed properly.

1- This CFW doesn't have LV1 checks disabled and can't be installed on Downgraded PS3 consoles unless you have Dehashed/Reset Syscon Properly (if you're not sure about your PS3, Dehash it anyway to avoid any risk) Link ----> Dehashing Tutorial - >You must login or register to view this content.

2- Always make a NOR/Nand dump using multiMAN or memdump before installing this CFW to have a recovery backup in case of any bricks.Having a valid NOR/Nand dump is an essential step before upgrading, because you will always have a way to recover (using hardware flashers) when you have a valid dump.
** A Hardware Flasher alone without a valid dump cannot fix your bricked PS3 **

3- It's always better to have QA flag set (leave it Enabled) on your PS3 for safer upgrading/downgrading operations. Link ----> toggle_qa.pkg ->You must login or register to view this content.

4- Always use the Recovery Menu while installing this CFW to avoid possible bricks (XMB update works, but Recovery Menu is safer).

5- TrueBlue CFW users must update back to OFW3.55 before installing this CFW to avoid possible bricks.

UPDATE 2

Downgrading back to 3.55 is always possible using the following steps :

Download the 4.25 downgrader PUP ---> 4.25 Downgrader Size 176MB (184,595,263 bytes) MD5: 49d80e07fc1f5ca1b0840e02e94635db
You must login or register to view this content.

Rename the downloaded file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and put it on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP"

While on Rogero CFW4.21, go to System Update from XMB and install the 4.25 downgrader CFW.

Once installed, now put "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP" ---> Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7.PUP
You must login or register to view this content.

Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu (or use Condor Updater for Slim consoles) and install "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" (from Recovery Menu, this is important)

Once the install is finished, you're now back on Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7 ( from here it's better to dehash again before installing any other OFW/CFW 3.55 )

It's just 3.55CFW with a 4.25 spoofer. (basically)

newer xmb stuff(not a big deal), online access as well as dlc and such. plus modding games directly on the console with out data transfer with the newest games and not having to wait for a patched eboot ect

I have tested it and so far it did not work for me. I have a downgraded PS3 so i might have done the dehashing part wrong.. I have also seen a comment which says some ps3 models do not work with the CFW so maybe that is the problem..

i was on rogero 3.55, did the dehashing part, and updated using the recov menu. When it was installing the update and reached 30% it suddenly jumped to 100% and after that it did not work. Could not turn of the PS3 by pressing the power button and xmb is not coming up. I am now going to try if i can just install the old cfw with recov menu as pointed out in update b. Or ill just downgrade it the easy way..

De-hashin means you need to install ofw 3.55 first then reboot then install ofw again.then update to rogero i tested this at 12am last night on irc rogero asked me to test it and it works fine for me

So far the only good thing from this is you can run the lattest released games without the need of having to replace moodded EBOOTs and other game files because of it having 4.21 keys id personally rather them try get the keys and let us re-sign the EBOOTs ourselves :/
