CFW v1.00 4.21 Rogero is out ! [Tested/Working/Confirmed]

v1.00 Info
- This is a 4.21CFW spoofed to version 4.25 to allow SEN access
- It can be used as a normal System Update from any 3.55 OFW/CFW/MFW
- It was tested using a hardware flasher and no bricks or any problems at all were encountered
- It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.21 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed
- Games must be loaded from Disc Icon (with Original game in BD) and not from app_home
- Current 3.55 homebrew application can't be loaded on this CFW, applications must be re-signed properly.

1- This CFW doesn't have LV1 checks disabled and can't be installed on Downgraded PS3 consoles unless you have Dehashed/Reset Syscon Properly (if you're not sure about your PS3, Dehash it anyway to avoid any risk) Link ----> Dehashing Tutorial - >You must login or register to view this content.

2- Always make a NOR/Nand dump using multiMAN or memdump before installing this CFW to have a recovery backup in case of any bricks.Having a valid NOR/Nand dump is an essential step before upgrading, because you will always have a way to recover (using hardware flashers) when you have a valid dump.
** A Hardware Flasher alone without a valid dump cannot fix your bricked PS3 **

3- It's always better to have QA flag set (leave it Enabled) on your PS3 for safer upgrading/downgrading operations. Link ----> toggle_qa.pkg ->You must login or register to view this content.

4- Always use the Recovery Menu while installing this CFW to avoid possible bricks (XMB update works, but Recovery Menu is safer).

5- TrueBlue CFW users must update back to OFW3.55 before installing this CFW to avoid possible bricks.

Downgrading back to 3.55 is always possible using the following steps :

Download the 4.25 downgrader PUP ---> 4.25 Downgrader Size 176MB (184,595,263 bytes) MD5: 49d80e07fc1f5ca1b0840e02e94635db
You must login or register to view this content.

Rename the downloaded file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and put it on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP"

While on Rogero CFW4.21, go to System Update from XMB and install the 4.25 downgrader CFW.

Once installed, now put "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP" ---> Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7.PUP
You must login or register to view this content.

Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu (or use Condor Updater for Slim consoles) and install "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" (from Recovery Menu, this is important)

Once the install is finished, you're now back on Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7 ( from here it's better to dehash again before installing any other OFW/CFW 3.55 )

If you're on 4.11 OFW you gotta downgrade and dehash syscon like Rogero says.

Im not sure where my update has gone. Followed the guide and mines a bit weird. Its not bricked or semi. Im on Cfw 4.21 rogero but for some reason the logo doesnt come up when you turn it on with Rogero. Psn games and alot of older games run sweet of the hdd/external but alot of recent games just dont load. Tryed new Doom game and MW3 and same thing. Could anyone give a hand? Mutiman and apps are running sweet? I noticed loading the new Multiman it says im still on 3.55 but on the XMB on 4.21?

Do a barrel roll!
I had to update via xmb, because recovery kept putting me back onto 3.40, so thru xmb update i got 4.21 on there, it's a fat ps3 btw. So I got 4.21 on, and multiman 4.08 (rogero4.21cfw support) but when i try to load games I cant get any to work.. tried sonic legends 1st cuz it is old, got black screen.

Tried puss in boots (original unpatched) just got past psmove screen then put me back to xmb. Then I tired RE6 (unpatched), and it gets stuck in multiman verifying game. Any detailed instructions on how to get the games to run would be greatly appreciated.GARRR!.my feeble mind should have stayed on 3.55 at least re6 was working

also maybe I didn't dehash properly?? I never had to downgrade but I used the qa toggle pkg anyway (at rogero's request) just to try to be safe. can anyone at least confirm that I halfassed did this right? if I can get multiman to run, then I'm obiviously not bricked right? so where did I go wrong? thx!
