I'm typing this using my own knowledge so some information may not be accurate
All i see in these forums now is people asking how the hell their Playstations got banned, or why their PS3 has been bricked from either turning to or back from DEX. So im here to give you guys some help to NOT get your PS3 banned (again).
Right, Ive never had my PS3 banned before, manly because i play it safe and i know what im doing. I turn my JB on only when i need to, i never run Homebrew online, and i NEVER mod games until there is confirmation that i wont get banned or i will just play them offline. [/b]

HOMEBREW- Being Banned.
HOMEBREW- Being Banned.
Being banned from using homebrew happens sometimes. Mostly due to people using these apps frequently or just being dumb and using them online.
When you use Multiman to copy a game or to browse your files it takes roughly an hour depending on the game, be sure to either disconnect from the internet and use the You must login or register to view this content. way to transfer or better still sign out.
To use Multiman safely: Sign out of SEN first the mount your game or copy them, then sign back in.
Sony can see what game or app you've been on, so use the app when needed and dont leave them on whilst you do stuff on the PC, etc. Pretty easy solution for that, Use a PARAM.SFO editor to rename your Homebrew to Call of Duty, FarCry 3, etc, Names that will often appear in your gaming routine (using names such as 'is Banging your mum' will attract attention.
HOMEBREW-Being Bricked.
Being Bricked is a Bastard tbh, its happened to me and it took me forever to fix, but this was because i wasn't paying attention to what i was doing and frankly didn't really know what i was doing.
Being bricked is having a corrupted firmware or a hardware problem (in your case, Firmware)
Dev_Blind (dev_rebug for rebug users) is the heart of the system, files from booting the PS3 System to the Firmware are stored here and any modification can lead to a Bricked console
To convert to DEX you need to modify the dev_blind files, to do this you need total concentration and understanding of what you are doing, if you start this process and you dont know what you are doing you cant go back you will have to do it or face getting bricked.
There are plenty of tutorials on how to do it. like DEREKTROTTER's Rebug You must login or register to view this content. tutorial that will safely guide you through it.

Modifying the games files on new games (Black ops 2) will stand out, in this case Treyarch will see that.
Game Developers are getting smarter into catching Hackers/Modders, using anti-cheat system's.
A anti-cheat system is where the game Developers can scan your files or watch you in game to see if anything has been modified, they scan your files as soon as you boot up the game whilst ONLINE. Even if you are glitching they will see it.
Black ops 2 is the first game (that i know) to hit hard on hackers/Modders, by Automatically banning these people and sending their console info to Sony who the Ban both your account and console. all the people i know who are Console banned have tried to mod Black ops 2
So far there is no way to unban your console or account on your PS3.
MODDING EBOOTs
Eboots boot the game and i contains all the information for the game to run, so modding this will result in a ban in some cases.
Using a Resigner whilst on 3.55 can lead to a console ban as Sony will detect this, so upgrading to a higher CFW will lower the chances of a ban and you will not need to resign the EBOOTS.
RTE MODDING
Real Time Modding has become well known to the gaming community.
This is the easiest way to get a Console Ban and Account ban. Using this method on MW3 or BOPS 2 will get you banned straight away if you mess with the stats. RTEing any game could result in a ban, so be careful!
Changing your name whilst RTEing can screw up other peoples friends lists, and they report you for hacking their accounts.(some people do this)
USING DEX OFW
DEX OFW will connect to DevNet, Who will then Send your Console Info to Sony. DO NOT GO ONLINE.
Using DEX CFW you will have to spoof the np environment, so you wont connect to DevNet. Still be careful whilst on DEX
TROPHY EXPLOITS
People syncing modded trophy's are not starting to be banned due to same date timestamps and a unrealistic number of Plats.
Never use the same time stamp as previous games as Sony will clearly see that (100 plats on the same day clearly is wrong)
Never go ott when syncing plats. (Rare plats + plats for games that have just been released) So don't do it!
TIPS TO HOW NOT TO BE BANNED
Mostly Common Sense
- Never Mod new Games unless you are offline or you are certain that you will not get banned
- Never use mods online
- Only use mod for your own fun not to use it against people (who can then report you)
- Never use Homebrew for long periods or whilst connected to SEN
- Never use your main SEN Account on your PS3
- Do NOT use pre-releases with your CFW and avoid playing online with them.
- Try not to use the Modded comment.
- Try and Avoid to Stay online on your CFW. (Less Chance of a ban when you're not)
- Never Use the Sign in Automatically Option.
- Don't go crazy whilst RTEing.
- Never Sync pats with the same Timestamps
- Don't go crazy on Plats and be realistic

- Only change files that you know
- Always Read a tutorial throughout and read as you do it.
- Never Turn your PS3 off if you think you done something wrong (just find the original files)
- Always back up the files you are modding
- Never delete files from the system that you don't know

i have PS3 CFW 3.55 with RDS and i upgrade it mistake to 4.31 with RDS , and i try to fix it many times but there no way to fix it . .

If you use multiman can you just quit out of it or do you have to uninstall it to go online safely?
