(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); id recommend not going online with DEX because it connects you to devnet, wich will send a big red flag to Sony and ban your ps3 and any account activated on it (if you activated games from your main acct it will be perma banned). this happened to me, so proceed with caution and don't say u weren't warned!

Guys, this is irrelevant unless you are on DEX OFW. If you are on DEX CFW then 99% of the time it has been edited to connect to CEX servers which is why you must spoof your PS3 with a CEX PSID so you don't get an error when signing in. If you use Rebug DEX 4.21.2 or PS3ita 4.21 v.9 or any other well known DEX CFWs then you do not have to fear what the OP has posted.

or just rebug 4.21.2 with normal use?

I know how to RTM but not sure how to hide my activity properly.

1) To clear out your game history go to my firmware thread, at the bottom in the download section I have PSNinja v4 available. Download that package and install it, every time before you go online run that app and select clear game history then exit to the XMB.
2) NEVER run homebrew while signed in or you WILL be banned.
3) Black ops 2 looks for certain folders when it is run which are associated with homebrew apps so you must delete all homebrew from your hard drive before starting BLOPS2. It also looks for the app_home folder which is created when running backups so do not run BLOPS 2 after running a backup or as a backup itself.

sorry if my post mislead anyone i just figured id say something rather than have more ppl banned because it happened to me. if anyone is willing to help me get unbanned id appreciate it currently on 3.55 kmeaw, i have backups of 4.21 rebug CEX and DEX flash, along with 3.55 kmeaw CEX and DEX flash.

im just gonna try your method on 4.21 rebug and see how it goes.
to be clear all i need to do is install rebug 4.21, convert to dex, use my CEX EID and run psninja v4 before connecting to the net? ive changed my mac on 3.55 so hopefully that will help with the unban (?) please correct me if im doing anything wrong im still trying to get back in the groove of the ps3 scene. been gone for quite some time

i have been on dex pretty much since the release of rebug 4.21 and im yet to have any of these things happen to me sooo uhh i call bs xD im sure you can connect to devnet servers but why would you do that your meant to use np servers not dev ones if you choose to be stupid and try access that then feel free but when you get ban you must realise its your own stupidity that caused this not the fact you was on dex... this thread is absolutely useless :|

Op obviously was mistaken but had good intentions.

I'm always online on my DEX and nothing has happened yet. My main account got perma-banned, but that was because I modded Black Ops 2.

i didnt intentionally try to connect to those servers, i converted to DEX and tried to sign up/in after history wipe and i got account/console banned instantly. that is why i had the impression that dex would ban you but i have done alot of research since then and realize i didnt spoof my EID or console id. i wouldnt say this thread is useless, i simply posted what happened to me with hopes of possibly getting some assistance or having someone help me correct the way to set it up so i can go online. it seem alot of other users have gotten there DEX consoles back online after being banned and im just looking to find out how they did that. if you have any advice im all ears
