Post: Information about 4.40 patching bypassing and how to get around it
03-23-2013, 06:11 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Since 4.40 is out, people are starting to freak out because bypassing is patched... This is how Sony did it and how we can get around it:

On the 4.40 update, Sony made the PS3 not able to connect to local Ip addresses (Elite Mossy patch blocker). It reads the local IP from your house then it thinks, "This IP can't be connected to" so it closes the connection. Now for the solution... Since you cannot connect to a local IP address, have you ever heard of a WLAN IP? I have been using this IP Since the update and it works fine ^^

Someone overflowed the server and Sony found out and banned it  Sorry for the news guys :(

Thanks to DeathsDisciple for this information:

1.) All high-anonymous proxies (proxies that hide your IP from showing up on other websites) will not work for some odd reason.

2.) You can still use "low" anonymous proxies (proxies that don't hide your IP from showing up on other websites), but there is no gain from this, since it does absolutely nothing.

3.) Patch Blocker is completely disabled. If you try to use your computers proxy, it will sign you out, and if you use a "low" anonymous proxy and loop it through the Patch Blocker, it still will not work.

Have you guys tried pointing to your own external ip?

In some cases (if you have a decent router) you can point your own internal network to your external ip and then it will loop back and act like you used an internal ip address.

Secondly, someone could buy a cheapo-VPS and run it and simply share the IP to that which will also patch bypassing or if you have a friend ask him to run it and use his network while he uses yours.

Can't seem to use my external IP. I simply just cannot connect.

Instead of a VPN, I will try using a proxy. I will report my findings soon.

Not a VPN, a VPS its an online hosted computer you can buy one for like $6 a month, charge people $1 a month to connect and get bypassed.

Well, apparently all proxy servers are banned, for every one I have used still gives me the error code 80028ED5 and signs me out.

Lawl, for now, 1.11 is full of REAL "modders", if you could say that..... atleast no kids shouting "cl plz", "verify me". Leechers 0 - 1 Real Hosters.
