So my theory is: if I use custom dns and I hijack them on my own network, I should take all information about what i'm downloading (like ps3updat.pup, games, ecc..) and change like the source, example:

I'm downloading gta4 tbogt from PStore and the url is (only eu) You must login or register to view this content. then i change it to whatever i want to download, is like this method (You must login or register to view this content.) but w/out using a proxy.

Cain&Abel + hamster are 2 programs that allows you to hijack ip.

Tell me in the comments if i'm wrong, btw I'm trying my best Happy

P.S. Sorry for my bad English, I'm learning it

No, it won't work because as far as I know it won't be signed for 4.40, so unless you can sign it, it's pointless. Secondly, it won't work for a game off PSN/DLC because the game will not be activated for your account.

That is if I read what you were saying right.

You are right! But let's give a try !

p.s. A few years ago i got from a book shop, 2 blueray cd's with inside like 43 demos to install, they work perfect, so my 2nd teory is it possible those demos are not signed ? (i got them like in 200Cool Man (aka Tustin)

On the ps3 everything is signed. On OFW if something isn't signed, or signed incorrectly it creates an error and the console won't read it no matter what. If not it would be a huge security hole. (Almost) All custom firmware comes with a patch to ignore signature check requirement which means it will run something regardless if it was signed or not.

Thats just how things work on the PS3 you can try it all you want. Also you don't need to hijack anything, you can easily view and download anything off PSN with some applications that were released. If you're on CFW you can enable it to your console for free DLC and Games.

Sorry bro.... like killer said, everything is signed but when you even get a sign pkg, it wont run because it needs to be activated on your account

It won't work, something like this was done before to mod a games update like mw2 as they changed the patch_mp.ff in the pkg but that was patched long ago.
