Post: A Possible Loop Hole in T&S Containing Console Bans
04-09-2013, 09:05 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Around the update 4.30 people have been getting console bans for hacking and exploiting.

When 4.30 was released, the T&S (Terms and Service) was updated stating that if you hack or exploit the PS3 you can get console banned. When you accept the T&S is when you update to 4.30 which 3.55 consoles didn't do. If 3.55 never accepted the T&S then that means that Sony has no right to console ban people. Also when you sign in with a spoofer, it clearly states that you are accepting the Privacy Policy, not T&S. If this is a potential loop hole, contact Sony support and demand a un-ban.

You could possibly be onto something, but what did the old Terms of Service state about modifying the PS3?

It doesn't say anything about console bans, only PSN account banning.

g. Attempting to hack or reverse engineer any code or equipment in connection with the Sites;

They mean Sony sites so if you hack games, it won't have effect with the sites unless its online, but they can still console ban you even if you aren't hacking games. They can detect that your PS3 is on 3.55 and online.

What if you created a account while you were on 3.55? I created my account on 1.00 and they console banned me :/

You don't need to sue.... Sony is breaking the law right now... under DMCA you have to have a reason to ban a device or get rid of it.... they don't have that reason.

You know what the devs should do they should make a ps3 Cfw app that allows us to go on PSN as some kind of loop around or atleast bypassing and lets us go on PSN I wrather see that happen then wasting all these consiol Ids.
