DEX Explained

Most people want to be on DEX now since we can now real time edit our stats and mod games easier etc, most noobs think this is just a different cfw, no this is not DEX (Debug) is pretty much the Ps3 systems Sony and most game developers have to just there patches and games ALOT easier. DEX cannot just be installed it has to be flashed onto your NOR/NAND where your software is stored. Why don't we just buy DEX consoles? DEX Consoles cost thousands of dollars.



DEX brings us a lot more options and customization to our Ps3. Also Run Homebrew and ANY eboot signed FSELF with the SDK in ANY debug fw until the last one 4.11 Execute the last 3.6+ legit games in disk You can run homebrew and new games but with original disks NO BACKUPS because the eboots have to be signed again as FSELF. One of the best things most of us Cod People like about DEX (one of the biggest reasons most people are on DEX) is being able to change things in real time (with a Debug EBOOT.BIN on) DEX also brings us a lot more debug options (for the devs who actually use them and know what half of them are).

Why Isnt There A DEX FW For 4.41

DEX firmware isnt easy to get our hands on as Sony and Game Devs are supposed to be the only ones with DEX FW, We got DEX because some of Sony SDK got leaked and it got leaked into the right hands. (Dont know much more on how we got DEX)

Bad Things About DEX

Like i stated before DEX FW cannot run back ups (without some tricks up your sleeve) And im pretty sure DEX consoles get banned online faster (not sure about that, but its my theory) DEX also makes your console run its hardest causing the fans and the system to be louder and for some phat models YLOD

Can DEX Console's Go Online?

Yes DEX consoles can go online but when you convert to DEX your console id changes, console id is made up of a few things
000000010082000b1006cfa9d2f5a17b00000000000000000000000000000000 (ID is banned)
DEX (Debug Target Id Is 82) As you can see in the first 12 digits 000000010082
So to get your DEX Console online you simply get you console id and if you look above and see the 000000010082 you need yo change the last to numbers to your region in the graph below, hope i helped some of you noobs understand what DEX is and if you want to convert to DEX here is a link to DEREKTROTTER's thread that i actually used to convert to DEX You must login or register to view this content.

Unless you have a real SDK it's unlikely you'll get it. Even if you can, if you're on a converted DEX console, any official DEX firmware above 4.21 will brick your PS3.

Those are debugging stations, not the consoles developers use. The ones developers use are that price and they look nothing like a PS3. Debugging stations have TEST written under the Playstation 3 logo on the top.

not above 4.21...its 4.30...im making my own cfw based on ofw dex 4.25..with some options like PS3ITA..you can use ofw 4.30 dex with a patch for converted consoles..but this is really risky and not many pplz use/try it..but its work..tested by my self..

I have a fat ps3 but I don't want to get ylod but I want dex so what should I do ?

No, mine's not converted, it's a legit DECH-J00a model. This doesn't help though as I don't think there is any way of obtaining the update from this. Just wanted to know if you had any ideas? ^^

you cant get the update without devnet acc..its not important that you have a debug station or not..without a acc you cant get it..this is why its not leaked..some big devs like evilsperm or guys from Viper Pegasus Dev Team have a debug station to..but its not easy to get a devnet acc..i know on 2011 you can creat a acc without a devnet license..but i dont know where have one..

Yeah I know, found this out the last time I was trying to get it. Everybody told me I needed the DevNet account.

Just wondered if anyone knew of an account or had another way of obtaining it. Thanks for the response tho. ^^

You're talking about the DECR models of PS3. Wish I could get one but they are $1000-2000 on eBay, also I would have no reason to have one :|

if u want some dev stuff try calling sony or looking into how to become a dev for real man just cause u ask them does mean there going to be like no lol just dont say anything about u have a real debug ps3
