DO NOT USE ON CONVERTED DEX UNLESS ALREADY YOU HAVE PATCHED!
USE IT WITH OWN RISK! ME OR NGU ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE/BRICK OR ELSE.

For those who are interested, the 4.41 debug firmware for DEX consoles has
finally been uploaded and made available to the public. For those with a
true debug (DEX) console, you can install this to your PS3 and get to
tinkering with all the debug related features that these firmwares have
to offer. If you are running a CEX > DEX console, then do NOT attempt
to install this firmware unless you patch it first or you will brick your console at 76% install status.
Starting with this debug firmware, Sony has patched the update so that non-genuine
consoles will brick upon installation.
Of course, if you try to install this on a retail console, the update
will fail, without any serious consequences. The changes of 4.41 debug
firmwares can be read on Release Notes 441.001 from the download.

PlayStation(R)3 debugging station.

WARNING:
Do *NOT* update from versions below 0.96 directly to this
flash. Instead, update from earlier versions to version 0.96, then
update to this version. Failure to update to 0.96 prior to applying

be returned to SCE for repair.
[/B]

:Update Data

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Changes in Release 441.001
----------------------------------------------------------------------
<System Software (GUI)>
- The update data for debugging station has been updated
at the same timing as the release of the system software 4.41.
This update does not affect titles.
Also, there is no change in the system software GUI.

[Known Issues/Restrictions]
<Check menu in the Game column>
- Validation of a media or the file system itself cannot be performed
from the Check menu in the Game column.

When submitting a master disc, make sure to verify the disc that no error
is present using the Disc Image Generator for PlayStation(R)3 or
the Disc Image Checker for PlayStation(R)3.

- When performing the check from the Check menu in the Game column,
if the number of result files exceeds approximately 80 to 100 depending
on each check item, the file entries of the root directory in the USB
mass storage run out and the subsequent check result files may no
longer be stored.
In such case, move the check result files to another directory.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- The system software of the debugging station can be now downgraded
to 4.41.
Using this update data, you can also downgrade the system software
version 4.X0 or later to 4.41.

Note:
Please refer to "5 Updating Flash Memory -> Downgrading the Flash Memory"
of the "Reference Tool Software Setup Guide" document for more details
on downgrading the Flash memory.

To the ones asking if you can install it on an OFW system...CLEARLY you're too stupid to read.
You must login or register to view this content.

Also, no. This is NOT a simple CFW to flash on anything other than an already DEX console. I don't really see the point as a lot of people don't have one, and what's the point of patching it for the CEX2DEX users when the REBUG DEX is just as fine? I guess to tinker about, and explore further options. In its own way, it's cool I suppose. Happy developers console day everyone.
