1. Downgrade your console from the CFW you are in to an "Other Os CFW" ( CFW must have lvl1 patches and SS patches so you need to be on 3.55 or 3.41).

2. Donwload and install Chaos Air Bringer.

3. Create and open with a Hex Editor a file called "mac.bin" and write the 6 byte new unbanned MAC address . Save the file and copy it in the root fo your USB drive.

4. plug the USB in the PS3 and launch the app.

5. The program will try make a backup of your old mac in the usb unit as "mac_original.bin" and will change the original Mac to the one in the "mac.bin" file.

6. Wait for the program to return to the xmb and reboot.

7. Now reboot your Ps3 and you will see your mac address has changed

8. Update Ps3 to a higher CFW and create a new PSN account. If the MAC you have chosen is not banned you should be able to gain PSN access with a new psn account.

to permanently change your Mac yes, there are other ways to spoof it, but the are homebrews posted on the site somewhere, and you have to change your mac everytime you restart your ps3, this way you dont
