Since I've seen so much people having trouble with setting up RTM/RTE I created a thread to help you guys out. I know that there are a lot of tutorials over the net, but this is the method that I am using. I do know that this is 100% working. You don't have to be a geek to understand this tutorial, If you have any troubles during this setup feel free to quote me.

Requirements

- 1 Lan cable
- Laptop/computer

This is all you need to have in order to get to the next step, if you do not have 1 of the things above you cannot complete this tutorial.

Let's get started

Step 1: We need to plugin the lan cable from the back of your ps3 to your pc.

Click the spoiler to view the picture.
You must login or register to view this content.

Step 2:
Head over to your PC and open your Network and Sharing Center.
The location of this is: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center.
In the left column you will see a option called Change adapter settings click on it.

Click the spoiler to view the picture.
You must login or register to view this content.
Now select both networks, Your wifi one and your ethernet one and press right mouse click and click Bridge connections. Your internet may fail but after 2 minutes it's up again.

Step 3: Now a bridge is created and a new icon is available in your window. Right click and select Properties. Then choose Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties again.

Click the spoiler to view the picture.
You must login or register to view this content.

Now navigate to the Alternate Configuration tab and choose User configured.

Step 4: Filling in the Alternate Configuration details.

First we need to know what your default gate way is. You can either look for it manually or you can use You must login or register to view this content. .bat file.
Keep the following things in mind: IPv4 address, Subnet Mask, Default gateway

Click the spoiler to view the picture.
You must login or register to view this content.

In my case my default Gateway starts with 192.168.1.XXX.

Now we need to setup the IP addres where we are going to connect to (the PS3 IP).
In the Alternate Configuration box from before we need to fill in the IP Addres. We are filling in 192.168.1.55
(this will be your ps3 ip address, the one we are going to connect to with ProDG manager.

Remember the subnet mask? 255.255.255.0 fill it in, just like the default Gateway.

Preferred DNS Server will be 8.8.8.8 and Alternate DNS server will be 8.8.4.4

so we got the following things:
IP Address: 192.168.1.55
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:192.168.1.254

Preferred DNS server:8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS server:8.8.4.4

Now click ok and ok again.

Click the spoiler to view the picture.
You must login or register to view this content.

Step 5: setting up your ps3.

Network settings -> custom -> Wired connection -> Auto-detect ->Manual

Now do you remember what we filled in before? fill it in again.

Click the spoiler to view the picture.
You must login or register to view this content.

Then continue to the right test your network and back out. Then network settings again and use wireless. Now Your ps3 is ready to go.

Step 5: ProDG Manager

Add a new target name it whatever you want and choose debugging station. As IP use 192.168.1.55, or the one you used and you are able to connect!

Hope i helped you out, If you got any questions feel free to ask! CheersTiphat
