Post: Trick to get free games from Gamestop

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm posting this because some people probably haven't thought about this, and haven't realized that you could do this.

This requires you to have CFW (obviously) so you can run backup managers and all that good shit :p

As you know, you can backup games straight from the disc onto your PS3 or external hard drive (if you have the space of course).

So, if you simply go to gamestop, buy a game (keep the receipt), and back it up onto your PS3....

You can return the game for the full amount they gave it to you for.

However, I think all gamestops only give you in store credit, so that's the only downside is that you can only re spend your money on another game ( or any other product in the store ).

I did this twice with one receipt, im not sure how many times you can do it before they get suspicious.

I would do it a maximum of 3 or 4 times per receipt.

If you live by multiple game stops, buy the game at one location, and return it the next day at the other.

Also, if you spend a big amount (say 60$ for a new copy of ghosts)

and then you take it back...

Spend it in portions, ( go to Gamestop one day and get a game for like 10$, then later or the next day buy another for 10$, and so on till your credit is ran out )

Return them on different days, that keeps you with a low profile and able to re do this more than 3-4 times. (the more receipts, the lower the chance of raising suspicion).

Enjoy, and don't get caught!

You said buy a new game like ghost and return it for store credit. If you buy a used game you don't need to return for store credit. You get a full refund

Or if there's still a blockbuster near you I use to rent a new game for 2.99 and burn it right to my ps3. Same if you have a gamely account. Or you could just download games from torrents like I do

I'm sure it puts you at risk, but then again, what doesnt put you at risk of being banned when owning a cfw?

I dont think the risk is very high. I've been playing back ups on my private and have yet to be banned on my account nor cid for 3 months.

You can also do this with a BlockBuster or a Family Video, Gamefly, etc. It's an old thought, I usually just download because regardless you are still spending money for your games doing the IRL schemes.

Blockbuster: Rent a game for one night, take it home and rip it to your HDD, return following day. $$

Family Video: Rent a game for one night, take it home and rip it to your HDD, return following day. $$

Gamefly: Rent multiple games, rip them all to HDD, return and choose next cluster.

Torrents: Download and play, no need for subscriptions, gas money, or fees. That is unless you get caught and get sued :troll:
