Whats Up NGU? I am sure someone has probably already posted this but I haven't seen many people doing it so I thought I would make a tutorial on how to mod some of the stuff on the XMB. Don't hate.
Here is a list of things I have modded so far:

-The Rounded and Pop fonts are different keeping the original font in tact
-Modified the User Icons all 27 of em
-Modified the Video Chat screen
-Modified corrupt data photos icon
-Modified the Game category and the friends list category text

How to do this yourself:

1. Fonts

-Download a font of your choice
-Rename it to SCE-PS3-SR-R-LATIN.TTF (The TTF MUST Be CAPS)
-Make A Copy of it named SCE-PS3-SR-R-LATIN2.TTF
Replace It In Replace Font In /dev_rebug/data/font (Using Rebug Toolbox) or Replace Font In /dev_blind/data/font (If on Multiman)

You Can Also Add Another Font as you can replace the Pop font, Rounded font, or both without messing with the default fonts.
This is the name for the other font you can replace just follow the same steps above

SCE-PS3-VR-R-LATIN.TTF
SCE-PS3-VR-R-LATIN2.TTF


2. User Icons
-They go HERE /dev_rebug/vsh/resource/explore/user or if using MultiMan /dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/user
-Just edit them with Paint.NET or Photoshop and replace

3. Video Chat and Corrupt Photos
-They Go Here /dev_rebug/vsh/resource/avc/image or /dev_blind/vsh/resource/avc/image
-Just edit them with Paint.NET or Photoshop and replace

4.Editing the Friends list and Game catagory
They go Here: /dev_rebug/vsh/resource/explore/xmb or /dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb

-Use Notepad++
-Download My XMB Mod Pack as it has the XML files fixed and ready to edit
-You can edit the XML Files to your liking
-Edit stuff like
Blocked Squeakers
and Change it to something you like
People I Hate
-Then save and replace
Don't edit stuff like friendim_plugin
and change it to LOLZ

Too Lazy? Just use my XMB Mod pack or leave your XMB Unmodded!

Thanks for your tutorial, but by any chance, do you have the original file? I want to change it myself after using your Modded Pack. ^.^

You can easily get the original form FTP but you cant just change the string text you had to modify it so you can edit the text and I don't remember how I did it so you can just edit the text in my modded pack and you wont mess it up.

Cause I changed the Install Package, and now it wouldn't load up. Like once you click on it, instead of giving you options, it shows you blank folders. ://
