(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});Before you do this, make sure that:
1. Your switch is set up correctly.
2. Your ethernet cable is decently long (not necessary, but it really does help).
3. Your switch is at its best possible location (if possible, its best to connect it to the cable going from your modem to router, or if you can get a switch or hub before the connection to your ps3, that will also help).
modem---(s)---router-----ps3/360
Once you've done all that:
So you flip your switch and immediately get disconnected? Follow these steps to get some lag time.
1. Start to setup an internet connection.
2. Pick Wired
3. This is where most people get the settings horribly wrong. Pick MANUAL! (Picking easy will waste precious time looking for your information after you flip the switch, while having already memorized will allow it to re-connect faster)
4. Enter your IP information (if you don't know your ip address then setup an easy configuration, then look at it from the internet information option)
5. Pick 10base-T half duplex as your ethernet type.
6. Keep MTU at 1500.
7. Disable everything, other than UPnP. Leave UPnP enabled.
8. Test your connection to make sure that it works.
9. You should now be set.
Test it out by signing back in to PSN then flipping the switch. If it doesn't say "ethernet cable disconnected" for a few seconds then you should be good. If it says it immediately then you have probably just done something in your construction of the actual switch. If this is the case, then you should probably start from scratch with a new ethernet cord.
I followed your guide to making a lag switch. I seem to have it all setup with the slide switch on the green wire, but when i slide the switch and slide it back almost instantly.... it has crazy lag..... disconnects everybody and i have to restart my xbox to reconnect with the internet. help please?
ok look i was using my lagswitch yesterday but everytime i use it ill get a couple kills then ill stop the lag.. but after that i freeze and i get a sign out error... it doesnt say no ethernet.. its a sign out error.. any HELP????
[Network settings>10-half duplex] and you have to have the green wire cut usually for freeze
I have used what you said, and it will not work. Still for the green wire i get i frezze, no1 else frezzes and i cannot killl. I am getting free lag. I can also do the orange wire to but that doesnt work either, it does absolutly noting. Can you please help?

Those settings are bogus. Also, are you host? Most games you need to be host. If your still having problems, try using the free version of "laggsta" and compare it with the results your getting from your switch. You can get it at You must login or register to view this content.
When I try to us the lag switch it disconnects me any suggestions?
how long did you have it flipped ? it will if you keep it flipped for to long. Should get a friend and go to private match and test to figure out what u can do with yours. Might need to change settings but i'd start by testing in private match with a friend and as him etc.
