It is possible to hack GTA 5 online. I played with hackers on that game and I have some as friends

I know hacking and modding is different but I just don't like the word modding for some reason

Ok guys this is a nooby question but,
I hear everywhere that you can only jailbreak a ps3/ps3 slim on 3.55

But i also always see other firmwares called 4.50 dex and 4.66 rogero.

Im really confused as to whats going on. If i were to buy a ps3 slim on latest ofw, do i downgrade to 4.66 or 3.55 with e3 flasher?
